near the "Allée des Cygnes", on the Seine, where you can find exactly the same statue of your's, also created by Bartholdi...
I like two stroke engine. The sound : between a racing rattle and a
sawmill, for the smallest one. Looks like an excited cat, for the biggest - i.e our Suzy GT. 
The smell : burn oil, with different tastes, as french wines. Quite simple than four strokes, and, I think you are right, burn with character.
